Coffee and Port
Why our coffee is roasted where the ships dock.
Our roastery is located at Sandtorkai, in the heart of Hamburg's port. If you stand in front of our door, you'll see water, cranes, and ships – and smell roasted coffee.
Coffee arrives by water
Coffee travels long distances before it reaches us: it grows around the equator and travels as green coffee by sea. A port is therefore a good place for a roastery – here, goods from the growing regions meet the city.
Roasting with a view
We roast where we also sell and advise. This has a simple advantage: you can watch, ask questions, and take the coffee with you just as it was roasted.
Come visit us
You can find us at Sandtorkai 3 in 20457 Hamburg. A look at the port is worthwhile anyway – why not combine it with a cup of coffee.
