Coffee Varieties and Roasts

Our assortment includes a range of different coffees – from strong, dark roasted blends to fruitier, lighter roasted coffees from single origin regions. There's a suitable roast for every cup.

The roast level significantly determines the taste. A lighter roast emphasizes the natural sweetness and fruitiness of the bean, while a darker roast brings more body and strong, chocolatey notes. We roast each batch so that the unique characteristics of each bean are well brought out.

If you are unsure which roast suits you, we would be happy to advise you – whether for espresso, filter coffee, or French press.

Our Beans

We work with carefully selected green coffees, which we purchase as whole beans and roast in-house. This keeps the aroma fresh and traceable right into the cup.

Our beans are available whole or, if desired, ground for you – suitable for your preparation method. Freshly roasted coffee best develops its aroma when enjoyed promptly after opening.

Origin of the Beans

Coffee grows around the equator, in high altitudes with warm climates and sufficient rain. Our green coffees come from various growing regions where the beans mature under good conditions.

Origin, climate, and soil shape the taste of a bean. For this reason, we focus on continuity of origin and getting to know individual coffees, so that you can rediscover the character of the different growing regions in your cup.

Upon request, we would be happy to explain where each coffee comes from and what makes it special.

Preparation

Whether espresso, filter coffee, or French press – the right preparation brings out the best in every roast.

  • Espresso

Prepared under pressure, it creates a concentrated coffee with a dense crema – ideal for espresso, cappuccino, and latte.

  • Filter Coffee

Pouring with hot water particularly clarifies the delicate aromas – a good choice for single origin coffees.

  • French Press

The full immersion in the pot results in a full-bodied coffee, preserving the natural oils of the bean.
